The visit aimed to strengthen the growing engagement between UNSW and PNG UniTech, with a focus on how our science and engineering capabilities could support development in Papua New Guinea. Prof. Renagi toured several of UNSW’s schools and labs, including:
- The Food Science Program at the School of Chemical Engineering, an innovative food science and technology program that emphasises practical hands-on experience;
- The Immersive Technology Laboratory at the School of Minerals and Energy Resources Engineering, an advanced visualisation lab housing a variety of virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and holographic technologies; and
- Resilient and Intelligent Infrastructure Systems (RIIS Hub), a research and innovation hub for smart infrastructure.
